Is your current TV useless on June 2009?
There is a lot of confusion about what happens when the analog signal is shut off next year. the FCC is forcing TV stations to promote the change-over. The Fact is... You can still use your analog TV for video games and DVD's and more importantly... Cable and Satellite. Unless you only watch over the air analog signals using rabbit ears or a roofmount antenna, chances are you won't notice a thing.
That being said, HDTV kicks butt, so buy a new TV anyway and recycle your old TV!!!
